Over the past few years, I’ve stayed at a number of Coast Hotels, mostly across British Columbia and even twice in Alberta, and their Coast Rewards Program has made those stays even better. It’s straightforward to use, easy to earn points, and sometimes full of surprises—like being chosen as guest of the day.

Easy Booking & Rewards

When you sign up for Coast Rewards, you can book directly through their site or app, earn points on each stay, and redeem those points for future stays or gift cards. Membership also gives you access to special member-only rates and promotions, which is great if you’re planning multiple trips.

Guest of the Day Perks

One fun surprise that sometimes comes with being a loyal guest is getting picked as guest of the day. I’ve been lucky enough to have that happen—it came with a slight room upgrade and a small branded gift (like a mug or pen). It’s a thoughtful touch that makes the stay feel extra special.

🏅 Coast Rewards Tiers

The Coast Rewards Program is free to join, and everyone begins at the Pink tier. Pink members earn Coast Rewards points on every eligible stay, enjoy member‑only rates, and can access special promotions that aren’t available to the general public.

After a few nights, you can move up to the Purple tier. Purple members earn 10% more points per dollar spent and also enjoy benefits like priority consideration for room upgrades (when available) and access to exclusive member deals.

With more frequent stays, you reach Silver tier. Silver members earn 20% more points per dollar and often benefit from early check‑in and late check‑out when the hotel has availability. Silver members also enjoy continued access to priority upgrades and dedicated offers.

The next level is Gold tier, which comes with 30% more points per dollar spent and some truly special perks: a welcome amenity each stay, complimentary room upgrades whenever possible, and more flexible stay options.

At the top sits Platinum tier, designed for the most loyal guests. Platinum members earn 50% more points per dollar spent, receive guaranteed room availability with at least 48 hours’ notice, and enjoy exclusive elite offers, along with all the benefits of the lower tiers—like upgrades, early check‑in/late check‑out, and those thoughtful welcome touches.

Final Thoughts

If you’re someone who stays at Coast Hotels even a couple of times a year, joining the Coast Rewards Program is a no-brainer. It’s free to join, easy to use, and adds value to every stay. And if you travel often enough to climb through the tiers, those perks—like upgrades and bonus points—start to add up quickly.

Being named guest of the day is the cherry on top, but even without that, the program makes each stay feel a little more rewarding.
