Our Stay at Accent Inn Kelowna

We recently stayed at the Accent Inn Kelowna during a road trip through the Okanagan, and it left us with a mix of fun surprises and practical takeaways. This hotel review Accent Inn Kelowna is based on our personal experience and aims to help you decide if this playful, affordable hotel is a good fit for your next stay.

Quirky Branding Meets Practical Design

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear that Accent Inn Kelowna has a sense of humor and heart. Their signature duck mascot is everywhere—on signage and even as a rubber ducky left in the bathroom. It adds a fun and lighthearted vibe to an otherwise standard property.

All rooms are accessed from the exterior, motel-style, which may not be everyone’s preference but made it quick to unload the car. There’s only one elevator on site, so depending on your room location and mobility needs, that’s something to keep in mind.

Renovated Room with a Surprise

The biggest surprise? Our room looked significantly nicer than we expected based on the building’s exterior. It had clearly been renovated—fresh paint, updated furnishings, and modern touches made for a comfortable stay. It felt clean overall, although we did find a cellophane food wrapper tucked under the desk, which detracted a bit from the first impression.

Still, the bed was comfortable, the room had good lighting, and the in-room coffee and mini fridge were convenient perks. We appreciated the effort that’s gone into updating the space.

Bathroom Layout: Functional, But Tight

The bathroom was split, with the sink located outside the shower and toilet area. This setup is great for sharing the space, but the toilet/shower section was quite compact. There wasn’t a great place to put your clothes or towel except on the toilet or the hook on the back of the door. If you’re traveling with kids or a lot of gear, the space might feel a bit cramped.

Amenities and Parking

One of the best features of Accent Inn Kelowna is the seasonal outdoor pool, a great bonus for summer travelers looking to cool off after a day of wine touring or lake adventures. There’s also a decent-sized parking lot, which was never full during our stay and made coming and going easy.

Though there’s only one elevator, the property layout makes it easy to get around from most rooms.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place to stay in Kelowna with a bit of personality, this hotel review Accent Inn Kelowna shows that it’s a solid option. The renovated rooms, playful branding, and outdoor pool all add to its charm. Just be ready for exterior access and slightly tight bathroom space.

Would we stay again? Absolutely—especially for a quick overnight or road trip stop.
