Over the Thanksgiving weekend we checked out the Coast Fort St. John Hotel as a mini getaway. It was in a good location and was at a good rate.
As a Coast Rewards member I get member pricing that can sometimes be better than other deals going on depending on when you book. I was able to book a Coast Two Queens Pet Friendly room for $85 + a pet fee (per pet). The going rate of this room as off now October 2024 is $109 per night + taxes.
The room wasn’t anything crazy fancy, but it had all the basic amenities that we were looking for. The room is designed to fit four people and is 29 m²/312 ft².

The room did show some wear and tear that might be possible to clean up with a magic eraser and some bleach. White sheets should be pure white if a business is going to use them in my opinion. It decrease the level of cleanliness and class if there are stains. The walls could have used a little TLC as well.
The Coast Fort St. John Hotel does have a commplementary continental breakfast that runs from 6:00-9:30 a.m. daily. We took advantage of this on our first morning. Was basic, but what we had was good and tasted fresh.
If you will be traveling during the winter months they have free parking and block heater plug ins for each spot. They are located not far from the Alaskan Hwy so getting in and out of town is not super difficult.
Hotel staff was nice and friendly. Not a fancy place, but was a good stay. Location was great for walking our dog without having to go far to get to a park. There are also lots of restaurants and amenities within walking distance.
